This week in Natasha’s kitchen, the amateur baker shifts gears from home-cooked baking recipes to snack reviews! In celebration of the all-new Pop-Tarts flavor from Kellogg’s, Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan shares her thoughts on the Frosted Banana Bread flavored treat:
Pop-Tarts are a treat you just can’t go wrong with — at least in Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan’s kitchen! A fantastically convenient treat to take on-the-go, these ready-made pastry snacks are great for breakfast or at any time during the day. Best of all, the Kellogg’s snack can be enjoyed toasted, frozen or straight out of the box! Natasha personally prefers to toast her Pop-Tarts. What’s your favorite way to enjoy these toaster pastries?
This week, Kellogg’s rolled out an entirely new flavor for their Pop-Tarts line of toaster pastries. It comes as no surprise to readers of this amateur baker’s blog that Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan’s taste buds went crazy in anticipation of this all-new flavor, because… it’s the NEW Frosted Banana Bread Pop-Tart! True to her baking passions, the banana bread flavor drew her right in and Natasha just had to pick up a box! To ensure that all flavor profiles presented in the treat are fully embraced by her palate, the amateur baker tested the Frosted Banana Bread Pop-Tart in all three forms: toasted, frozen and out of the box.
If a frozen slice of banana bread sounds a bit strange to you… a frozen Pop-Tart of this new flavor might not be for you. Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan bit into the frozen snack to find that most of the notes that remind her of banana bread just aren’t there at this temperature. But when tossed in the toaster: this pastry is a dream! Instantly, Natasha recognized banana and brown sugar as dominant flavors of the new Kellogg’s release. She rates this new food option a 7 out of 10.
