Cool down during the summer heat with this sweet treat: Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan’s Banana Pineapple Salad!
Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan, Amateur Baker, is a huge fan of fruit salad. It comes as no surprise (at least, it shouldn’t!) that bananas are always a key ingredient in Bannan’s fruit salad recipes! Here’s a recipe for her of her all-time favorite fruit salad dishes: a refreshing banana pineapple salad — with peanuts!
Ingredients
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Honey
- Cinnamon
- Bananas
- Pineapple Chunks
- Peanuts
Instructions
Step 1: Stir together lemon juice, honey and cinnamon until well combined.
Step 2: In a separate bowl, add your bananas, pineapple chunks and peanuts.
Step 3: Drizzle honey over the fruit and toss lightly. Be gentle in your mixing. If the bananas are too ripe, you might end up with a mushy banana salad! But that’s okay! Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan recommends mashing your over-ripe bananas before adding them to your fruit salad bowl. Combine the mashed bananas with honey and use this portion of the recipe as a dressing to coat the pineapple chunks and peanuts.
Step 4: Leave your banana pineapple salad in the fridge to chill for at least 15 minutes before serving. Don’t let this one sit for too long though! Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan says this one’s best enjoyed shortly after serving. No one likes a warm salad, afterall!
