In the summertime, bananas ripen a little bit faster than in the winter. As temperatures rise and humidity climbs, Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan finds her ‘over ripened banana’ bowl overflowing! To keep up, cool down and eliminate food waste, the Amateur Baker is whipping up banana based treats that are tastiest when served cold. When she’s already baking in the summer heat, warm baked goods are the last thing on Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan’s menu! A cold, sweet treat is what she’s looking to whip up… and if it can be gluten free, then that’s even better! Here is Natasha Bannan’s recipe for gluten free banana bread parfait:
Ingredients
For this recipe, you will need:
- ½ cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 slice of gluten free banana bread
- ½ ripe banana
Directions
Step 1: Add ¼ cup of your Greek yogurt to the bottom of a half-pint size glass.
Step 2: Chop up your banana and banana bread into cubes or slices.
Step 3: Add a layer of banana on top of the yogurt.
Step 4: Spread more Greek yogurt on top of the banana layer, before adding banana bread or muffin cubes on top of your new layer of yogurt.
Step 5: Repeat until your glass is full and then…. enjoy!
