Here’s what you will need to bake this recipe:
- ½ softened butter
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
- ¼ cup eggnog
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon baking powder
Directions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. While the oven is preheating, Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan recommends combining the butter and sugar until a light and fluffy consistency is achieved. Then add the eggs, one at a time. Next, add the mashed bananas, eggnog and vanilla extract.
Step 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, salt and baking soda. Once combined, you may add this mixture to your banana mixture.
Step 3: Pour stirred mixture into a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon on top (optional). Then bake for 1 hour (60 minutes).
