Maybe you just want to ‘wow’ everyone at the potluck dinner by sneaking in a secret ingredient that will keep your friends guessing… Either way, you have got to try Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan’s secret recipe for savory fritters with a banana base!
Ingredients
Here is everything you need to make Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan’s banana fritters:
- 4 bananas
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon buckwheat flour
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
Optional:
- 1 cup cooking oil*
Baking enthusiast Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan brings from Natasha’s kitchen to yours, a healthy and savory alternative to starchy potato fritters. For this recipe, the amateur baker recommends using an airfryer, to eliminate the need for frying your fritters in hot oil. *Alternatively, if you do not have an airfryer available to use, you will need approximately 1 cup of cooking oil to fry your fritters in a skillet on the stove.
Directions
Step 1: Peel and mash all four bananas in a bowl.
Step 2: Combine diced onion with mashed bananas. Mix evenly.
Step 3: Add dry ingredients: ground ginger, cayenne pepper, salt and buckwheat flour.
Step 4: Preheat the airfryer to 360°. While preheating, separate banana mixture into 1 tablespoon portions on a flat, even surface. Shape as desired.
Step 5: Place fritters into the airfryer on a fryer-safe baking sheet. Cook for 2 minutes or until golden brown. Bon appetit!
