Ingredients
For Amateur Baker and bakery consultant Natasha Lycia Ora Bannana’s banana bread bagel recipe, you will need:
- 3 bananas (mashed)
- 2 cups self-rising flour
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 F. While you wait for the oven to preheat, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for a baking mat. If you don’t have either of those available to you, Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan recommends lightly coating the baking sheet with butter or margarine.
Step 2: Combine bananas in a large mixing bowl, until a thick mash is achieved.
Step 3: Slowly add in self-rising flour until everything is well combined.
Step 4: Divide dough into small even pieces, before shaping into bagel designs of your choosing.
Step 5: Bake for 20 minutes or until a light golden brown crust is achieved.
Step 6: Set your bagels aside to cool and dust with nutmeg and cinnamon (optional).
